Garbage burning

There was sooo much smoke from the neighbours where we used to live that it would cause a haze in our house.

We are both constantly suffering from asthma and chest infections that never clear up.

I know it’s going to kill me but I can’t afford to move.… I am powerless because people don’t care.

It was our first home—a brand new house we’d worked hard for, full of smoke every day.

…both our back and front gardens are filled with thick, acrid smoke that makes your eyes sting and your throat sore.

The end result is that the air quality…is much worse than in many urban areas I have lived before…

Every evening from October until the end of April, very high levels of fine particles are present in the air.

…I have 3 neighbors that burn wood and other items in outdoor furnaces and indoor wood stoves…

I have significant heart disease and cannot believe there aren’t more laws to protect people from this pollution…
