Wood Smoke Stories

Breathless and traumatized

I can’t breathe due to my asthma and allergies, I can no longer hang my washing on the line outside or have my windows open EVER to let fresh air in, my pets constantly smell like wood smoke... everything smells like wood smoke, my whole street and my parents’ street are the same.

People think houses are on fire half the time and it’s just smoke billowing out of chimneys.

At least half of the people on our street owns a wood heater... listening to people chopping up their firewood at all hours of the day and night is triggering for mine and my children’s post traumatic stress disorder.

We are fed up.
