Suffocating fumes from “smokeless fuel”
My story does not involve wood smoke but fumes from the burning of a so-called smokeless fuel. It is a legal fuel on the “Ready to Burn” list. However it does give off smoke and the accompanying fumes are suffocating.
I spend a lot of time outside even in the winter months but I cannot be outside anymore. I have researched this type of fuel and like wood smoke the fumes are carcinogenic. I wish it would be included in the publicity and research.
It is mind boggling that this stuff is on a government website as being legal to burn. My local council simply ignore my messages. I want to know my best course of action to publicise the information I have. The sad thing is that there are never any other pedestrians around to verify the pollution. I feel so alone with it.
