Wood Smoke Stories

Breathless in Belfast

Is this 2019 or the 19th Century? This is legal pollution in Belfast. We live in densely populated areas yet wood burning is allowed back from the mist (or smog, rather) of time. All our fans are on to reduce smoke ingress.

More than a dozen smoking chimneys are in the area, from none ~3 yrs ago. There are new stoves, a pellet stove and reopened fireplaces. They emit variable amounts of visible smoke, but every single one makes the air denser and more difficult to breathe. This backward policy must stop!
