Our social media commenting policy

We welcome comments on our social media posts. In order to ensure that our social media pages remain welcoming and civil, we have a social media commenting policy.

We remove or hide comments that:

• Are obscene, insulting, racist, discriminatory, or otherwise hateful
• Are meant to be harassing or cruel, are trolling in nature, or otherwise engage in a way that is harmful
• Push an agenda not related to our mission, such as promoting a product, website, unrelated cause, etc
• Are off-topic or clearly nonsensical in nature
• Violate others’ privacy by including someone’s address, phone number, email address, or other personal information
• Tag other people or other entities excessively, repetitively and in a manner that is intended to annoy, provoke, or otherwise be harmful

Basically, please be civil, and don’t spam.

Commenters who violate our commenting policy may be banned.

While we regularly monitor and moderate our social media accounts, we aren’t always online and may not always be immediately available for moderation concerns or to answer questions.  

Our commenting policy may be amended or altered at any time to ensure that it continues to serve its intended purpose.
