Our social media policy

We welcome comments on our social media posts.

In order to ensure that our social media pages remain welcoming and civil, we have a social media comment moderation policy.

What’s not ok

We remove or hide comments that:

  • Are obscene, insulting, racist, discriminatory, or otherwise hateful
  • Are meant to be harassing or cruel, are trolling in nature, or otherwise engage in a way that is harmful
  • Push an agenda not related to our mission, such as promoting a product, website, medical advice or cure, unrelated cause, etc
  • Are off-topic or clearly nonsensical in nature
  • Violate others’ privacy by including someone’s address, phone number, email address, or other personal information

Basically, please be civil, and don’t spam.

Commenters who leave these kinds of comments may be blocked or banned.

Monitoring and moderating

While we regularly monitor and moderate our social media accounts, we aren’t always online and may not always be immediately available for moderation concerns or to answer questions.

Not necessarily an endorsement

When we share links to third-party content, share others’ posts, mention people or other organizations in tags, like others’ posts, etc, it doesn’t necessarily imply an endorsement.

Changes to this policy

Our comment moderation policy may be amended or altered to ensure that it continues to serve its intended purpose.
