Wood Smoke Stories

The smoke is overwhelming

I live in an area where there are a lot of people in a small square of properties and lots of which have log burners, single story properties with short chimneys and the smoke is overwhelming most days between September and April.

I don’t know if it’s wood smoke or if they’re burning something else but the smoke doesn’t go up and into the air, it falls down which I’m guessing means it’s particulate heavy. It’s very acrid and so strong it comes indoors even with all windows shut. I frequently have burning eyes and nose or coughing or even sometimes a headache and a few steps outside leaves me with hair and clothes smelling very strongly of smoke.

Log burners are a nightmare.
