Driven from home in Maine

Welcome to Maine where you can burn anything anytime. Twenty years ago I relocated to a small town, lovely home surrounded by trees, a neighbor moved into the home several acres in back of my house, married the woman and proceeded to burn brush, rubbish, dog poo ( he started a dog kennel) and various paint, chemicals and anything he could find.

He bought several cabins next to me and rented out Air B&B. He provided all the guests with parcels and stacks of nice dry firewood which they promptly burned in large unattended bonfires from early morning until late at night.

I was surrounded by his property, and when I complained to the neighbor, he moved his wood boiler closer to my house and made sure the yard was filled with smoke and fumes 24/7. After 3 years I had to move.
