Wood Smoke Stories

Chimney below bedroom window

I have asthma, and more recently I have been short of breath due to anaemia; I am undergoing tests. My neighbours installed a wood burning stove near a chimney which is below a bedroom window. They refused to stop using it until my iron levels are restored or make any compromises (such as a change of chimney cowl) and they lit it when my windows are open—so I cannot open my windows now or enjoy my balcony.

I am now faced with taking the risk of legal action which I may not win…

These wood burning stoves need to be banned. They are not just a nuisance but a danger, especially in the hands of arrogant people who burn whatever they want! Why are we allowing these to be sold when in the modern world they are a fad and not essential to heat homes. It makes no sense.
